Insurance

The insurance on my Defender is due next week so while I was on the line to Land Rover Insured (the Royal and Sun Alliance LRI not the current one for new business which is run by Stratstones) to renew it (£178 fully comp, offroad use and recovery etc etc) I asked what they would quote me for the Evoque on the policy I have for the FFRR................. The FFRR policy isn't due to renew until next March, to insure an Evoque Sd4 Auto Dynamic Lux Plus gives me a return premium of £120. So that's all the fuel between LPR and Central Scotland paid for all ready. It also bring the cost of insuring that version of the Evoque down below £200pa for an over 50, no blemishs on my license driver who lives in a city postcode but in the countryside. Car also stored on driveway, no Trakker required and also offroad use, recovery, towing and roof rack contents. At least there are so advantages to being a sagalout! So if that is what I can get from a specialist model insurer it will be interesting to see what the Directlines of the world can offer me.

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.
