Just been on the tour today and was told that the checks in the factory usually use about 8 miles but if they hear a rattle it'll go out onto the road to locate it & then back in for a final fix.

6 the morning after it arrived at dealer. 8 when we picked it up from the dealer a few days.

What did you think of the tour? Mine in build today so wish I had been there! Was in "trim" at around midday when the dealer phoned me.

Loved it, maybe saw yours! It's well worth a visit. Saw quite a lot of the assembly process, spot welding, press out of parts, final assembly. The robots are amazing. The production line was surprising, it's a mixture of freelanders & evoques, all different colours, styles, left & right hand drive all on the same line at the same time. Great to see all of the combinations, black looks to be more popular than white at the moment, mostly lhd. They were saying 80% lhd at the moment.

Thanks. Little wonder that many of our fellow forum members are waiting far longer than could be considered reasonable, if 80% of production is destined for overseas.
