H&r lowing springs with ADC, adaptive control.

So, searched this many time and get conflicting info. Can an evoque be lowered ( 30mm h&rs the plan) with dynamic suspension.

Searched this in other cars and all say ok, as basically the springs are the same and it's just the shock that stiffens. Technically it's no different to riding around with 4 fat people in the car permanently!

Anyone clarify?

Anything is possible with money................... I'm sure that a special set of Magneride struts could be made as one-off specially for you. I don't see the point though, this is an off-road vehicle and you are removing all it's ground clearance, why not buy a Puegeot 106 GTI for £10 and lower that?

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

Yes, probably not much point but my wife's evoque will never go off road so no point pretending. Purely down to looks and of course those are subjective.

Why would you need new shocks? In reality the car being lower 30mm wouldn't effect the operation of the inside of the shock. Surely it'd be just the same as if the car had 4 people in it? I've read on other forums ( BMW) that this is the case? Why is the evoques system different?

I know that a 20mm LIFT is possible without further modifications to other parts, so would it be necessary to have modifications going the other way and dropping the car?
There are American forum members who have lowered their cars, but Magneride is an option on US spec cars like it now is on the UK cars with the Dynamic model being discontinued or rather Dynamci being a "pack" on the HSE Lux models.

I would not even think about replacing struts, mine (Dynamic) had a front strut replaced under warantee, if I had to pay for it it would have come to well over £1000 and thats for just one corner!

Evoque Dynamic SD4 Lux Auto Total Rubbish, worst car I have owned - GONE AT LAST!

Magneride shouldn't effect the running height of the car, it just stiffens the shock. The suspension will have a range of travel it can work in, as long as you don't force it into the stops continually or on heavy bumps there should be no major issues. There are some kits around for changing the springs to lower the car.
