German Review - Video

Here is the first German review I've found .... unfortunately my German isn't up to understanding whether its good or bad.

Any forum members help me out?

It compares X1 18d with the TD4.

One of the comments says: "the reporter could not bring himself to admit that the BMW lost this comparison" and when you look at the two photographed together at the top of the article, it's plain to see why.

The reporter definitely gets a "pippa middleton" into the first minute or so of the video... Ha

Another German review.

They mention the seats need more lateral support ..... but again not sure if they liked the car.

The review majors on the brand expansion to broaden the customer base and the detail of the different models. They say the diesel engine can be gruff and the petrol noisy under hard acceleration. The comment about the seats may be true but the need for lateral support comes from sporty driving and seems to confirm this is the most dynamic RR to date. The other comment they make is the rear visibility of the coupe. I don't think it will be a problem for anyone used to driving a sports car but it will definitely be different for those used to a big rear window. The reversing camera will help. As for whether they like the car, they do and say there's space within and beyond the existing price structure for additional models.

Forgot to mention their testing involved wading with the headlights under water - impressive.
