Hi Steve, Ive already got my car, so Im not trying to waste your time but maybe you could clear up something up regarding the premium mats. Just what is the difference between the normal dynamic mat and the upgraded premium mat, that comes as standard in the prestige. cheers Steve

Seems even the dealers can't answer that question.

Hopefully this will answer your questions about the Normal Vs Premium Mats debate.

I have attached two photos of the two types of mats side by side. In the first of the photos the Premium Mats is the one on the Left hand Side as you can see there is a noticeable difference in both the colour and the depth of pile of the premium mat. The second picture shows the difference in the thickness of the pile.

They both appear to have the same type of backing and both have the same Evoque Logo on them.

The Premium Mats do seem to be a little harder wearing as well.

I hope this all make sense.

Thanks Steve that nice to see and it was good of you to take the time to do this for us. I guess neither is actually called "Premium" having seen them. Still of the opinion that these were what LR initially intended for the Pure and Dynamic but LRUK don't seem to want to tell us too much. Thanks again YT

Yes. Thanks. We're starting to get some clarity as we can at least now compare and see a difference between 2 sets of quite similar mats! Description I have on my Sept price list and features for 2012 Model year given by my dealer definitely describes features of the Dynamic having the premium mats with edging, not just mats. As I said in the other thread this is at odds with what is then quoted later in the document under options but also the full glossy brochure that I have. £80 Upgrade. I think not! . The "cornered" mats under accessories in the "glossy" are described as "Premium carpet mat set" - Deep pile carpet with waterproof backing".

I fear this tale has yet to run its full course.
