Evoque Roof Rails in Silver VPLVR0085

Please excuse my first forum post being in the classifieds. I'm posting on behalf of my mum as she isn't that Internet savy.

My dad bought her an Evoque shortly before he passed away last year. It's the first car she has ever liked and having driven it I can see why. He also bought her a set of genuine roof rails, which are still new in the box. She has no need for it and ask me to sell them for her.

I realise that this breaks the forum rules, but I have no idea how much they are worth. I just want to get my mum a fair price, so if someone can suggest a price I will edit the advert to keep within the rules

Many thanks

Duncan

Hi Duncan,

Here's a link to the price of the silver finish roof rails.

http://www.duckworthparts.co.uk/landrove...uring.html

I would be interested in them if you offer a good price. Can you confirm if they are for the Evoque with the panoramic roof, as I understand there are two types of the roof rail one for panoramic roof and the other for the solid roof.

Can you also confirm if you have the roof rail finisher kit, which is required to fit them.

Thanks in advance.

Rxa

Hi Rxa

Thanks for the link. The paperwork in the box is just for the above part no. VPLVR0085. My mums evoque has the paroramic roof, so I presume it's the correct one. I can't see any paperwork for the roof finishing kit, but the instructions for putting it on the car give a step by step guide with a list of parts and don't mention using anything that isn't included.

I'll take some photos tomorrow and upload them here

Many thanks

Duncan

The other part that is needed for a rail kit is called the "Ditch Finisher Kit" basically it fills in the gaps once the roof rails are in place.

No worries, i'll check tonight and take some pics to see if that's also included. I can't believe LR charge £400 for an incomplete kit, they might as well just charge £500 and include the finishing kit.

I've checked the box and it is just the rail kit She has. The finishing kit isn't needed with the panoramic roof, hence why I haven't got it.

The rails are £416 from the link above, so would £350 inc shipping be a good price for anyone?

From the photos of the finisher kit I've seen, they run the length of the roof and as the panoramic roof is all glass with just a small channel at the front and back for the rail to go, the finisher kit isn't needed

Shame they are in Silver, otherwise I'd taken them off your hands.
