Folding Door Mirrors

I have taken mine to a carwash. Before I exit I close the mirrors using L and R buttons. When they finish vacuuming, they crank and pull it around to the wash machine. The mirrors stay folded until I push the buttons to fold them out again. I am certain that they stay closed. I have also closed them manually without any damage.

Quoted from the user's manual, page 49

"Note: If the powerfold mirrors were folded using the switches, they will not unfold when the vehicle is unlocked."
