Simple answer, stick winter tyres on the Evoque, drive through a 50cm deep pond, then up a hill covered in snow.

trust me the bmw will be stuck in the pond!!!

RE: Evoque v BMW 1 series

Last January, after a little bit of snow - do you remember it, I attempted to drive my BMW 335i out of its parking space.
I didn't move even with DSC/snow mode enabled.

Result - I'm buying an Evoque - conquest sale and roll on winter.

Arrived: SD4 Prestige Auto Coupe with Lux pack. Ipanema Sand with Black Panoramic Roof
Ambience Interior with Macassa wood.

Now a Jag XFR Kyanite Blue - wow what power.
At home and superb.

A friend of mine got his new 1series a week before the awful winter. Let's just say he didn't have much of a chance to show off his new wheels

RE: Evoque v BMW 1 series

Are "we" comparing BMW on summer tyres to Evoque on M+S tyres?

Or BMW on winter tyres to Evoque on 20" road tyres?

Or does it not even matter?

Doubt it would make much or any difference. LR/RR against BMW = 1 .0.
