Door sounds like its going t fall off

Has anyone else had any issue with their doors? I have a 5 door evoque and from yesterday out of no where, when I open or close the drivers door I hear this double clicking noise. It sounds as if the hings are grinding and will fall off.

I checked the hing seems to be all ok nuts and bolts tight, tried closing the door slowly same noise, I've booked it into LR to have a look for next week. In the mean time wondered if anyone else has encountered anything like this?

I haven't had any issues with doors fam1x, As you didn't say the door feels loose I would hazard a guess at it sounds like the springs that hold the door in open postions usually located on a bar that goes from the chassis to inside the door may have come adrift and are rubbing on the bar. If it only happens as you move it from open or closed.

Thanks the door doesn't feel loose and is fitting correctly into position.

The same happens on mine. Its the bolt on the door closing stay. Just tighten with a ratchet/spanner.

+1 to this. The same happened to mine to. Probably best to have the correct tool to tighten the strange head on the bolt,or you might strip it.
I just took a drive to my dealer,and he checked and tightened all 4 doors in no time at all.

Yep, as above, mine is due to go into dealership on Tuesday to sort it out. Will let you know how I get on...

I had this problem after the first month! easy fix..

When you open the drivers door look between the upper and lower hinge and you will see the black 'double stage opener strut'.

Mine was that loose i could move the strut with my fingers!!

Just re-tighten the fixing points with a ratchet and all should be ok.

I did mine back in Jan and i have never had this grinding opening noise since.

I think maybe the torque setting at manufacture was at fault?

Had the same issue, it is well documented that I had JLR fix it.
