Delivery Delayed
It's Stratstone . Sadly the UK's largest (by number of showrooms) LR dealer.
Yes they have financial woes. Parent company is Pendragon group, the UK's largest dealer group. Google is your friend, their struggles with financial distress are well documented but the headlines are a recent rights issue, approx £400m of debt which mostly matures in 2014 and a £50m cost reduction programme underway. It's no wonder they are watching every penny.

RE: Delivery Delayed
Gordon Bennett, can I swap dealers.
Mark I have an inkling that your collection/handover is going to be the fastest in LR history, I'm guessing 5 minutes.

Delivery Delayed
I don't think it needs that caveat CJ, it's all a matter of public record.

RE: Delivery Delayed
To be fair, the salesman had the guts to phone me with the news and must have been expecting a roasting because he already knows I'm on the bad tempered side of irascible when a SNAFU occurs. Partly because I was half way up a mountain with others in ear-shot, I was reasonably laid back about it. He came on all gooey-gooey about how good the colour combo looks and is confident it will happen on Wednesday.

Might do a drive past on Wed to see if it is prepped for delivery.

RE: Delivery Delayed
Apparently, it's on the dealer frontage until Tuesday, so if you want to inscribe your initials... (also a joke...)

RE: Delivery Delayed
I was going into there tomorrow to discuss the Dynamic change of order, but unfortunately my wife is going in the Winfield for an op so might not, pity as I'd like to see the Dynamic again, did you go for Sparkles or Shadow Lines?

RE: Delivery Delayed
Just the standard Sparkles (Type 6). I did think of the Shadows but think they will look perpetually in need of a clean but will also be more difficult to refurbish if they get scuffed.
