DAB+ on Evoque

Hi,

I understand that there is only DAB radio available on the Evoque, but seeing that a lot the new channels at least here in Norway are transmitting on DAB+, I can't listen to these stations, anyone know if RR can do a firmware upgrade to support DAB+ in the future?

Since it was released in 2007? I'd be suprised if the hardware isn't compatible?

That's what I thought as well, so I'm kinda curious why Evoque dosen't have DAB+ support "out of the box".

They will update the DAB to DAB+ for MY2013, read it anywhere, don´t know where.. but shure LR confirmed this

Im getting my Evoque next week (Australia). Just curious after reading these threads. Did DAB+ even get updated on MY13 models?

No DAb+ on Aussie Evoque MY13 here.

We wont get DAB+ transmission here in the UK for quite some time.

Sadly this is another feature that lets the car down here in Germany as all DAB is now broadcast on DAB+. Unbelievably there is some small print in the RRE German price list that says if you order DAB it doesn't work in Germany!

At least for MY2014 they have finally started offering heated rear seats, active cruise control, climate seats etc which it competitors here have had for years.. Very infuriating.

Despite what the 2014 bumf says Adaptive Cruise is NOT available for 2014, maybe for 2014.5 or 2015. It is the same for Disco4 - was supposed to have it for 2014 but it isn't getting either. I have heard that FFRR and RRS have had some issues with the other software toys that come as part of the same package which is possibly why LR aren't offering it yet on the other cars.

DAB+ - there was an item on the Radio4 consumer programme at lunchtime today - BBC is not going to upgrade to DAB+ any time soon as there are now more than 10,000,000 DAB radios in use in the UK that cannot be upgraded to DAB+ - only the most recent radios in the UK (approx 4,000,000 sets) can be upgraded.
