When I was younger I would have agreed. I used to think that only arrogant flash b'stards bought unique plates in the UK. But these days when I see LR1 driving down the M40 or other unique plates I admire the rarity and value. They are investments.

When "@@11 @@@" plates were released I was sorely tempted to pick up matching plates for my partner and me with the the first 3 letters of our names as the last 3 digits of our plates. I told her I was tempted and quite rightly she talked me out of it - not one of my best ideas!
