TD4 Dynamic?

Spotted this in Norway a couple of days ago. It looks like a standard Dynamic, except then I noticed the TD4 badge on it. OK, it could just be a TD4 Pure that's somebody's stuck the full Dynamic body kit on, but considering the TD4 had a single exhaust I would have thought that would be quite an expensive upgrade to do, and after going to all that trouble surely they'd have taken the TD4 badge off it?

So I wonder if some markets get the option of a TD4 Dynamic, and if it gets a twin exhaust why they don't do the same for the TD4 Pure - it would be less different parts for LR to have to work with?

In Belgium e.g. All engines all available in all models. And the Dynamic has always 2 exhausts regardless of the engine.

Same in Spain. In fact, I have a Dynamic eD4 on order, and it also comes with 2 exhausts.

Same in Romania! I already have a TD4 Dynamic with two exhaust.

I wonder how much it costs LR to source/stock/offer a single exhaust for the TD4 Pure rather than just use the SD4 twin exhaust? I guess they must have worked out that the cost would be offset by differentiating the TD4 from the SD4 and tempting people to spend the extra £1000 on having two pipes sticking out of the back instead of one.

As an aside, in another 10-20 years time I imagine we will look back and think it unbelievable that there was a time when certain car specs and options would only be available in certain countries. And hopefully we'll also marvel at how the manufacturers and dealers of 2012 were still at least a decade behind the rest of the retail world when it came to customer service.

So much for the "COMMON market" in Europe ....!! Instead we get all of the useless regulations and directives such as EU MOTs etc, and in our niaivity implement the damn things.
