Collecting on Tuesday

Hey guys

My car is sitting at the Dealers waiting for me so I'm collecting on Tuesday...any advice / things to watch out for? I've not had a new car before...

Congratulations! Good question! I would be interested in the do's and dont's of collecting a new car.

Check it very carefully - panel by panel and same with the interior. It's all under warranty but if there are any defects it's better to spot them before accepting the car. There has been one report of a crease in a bonnet and one of a paint flaw.

Oh and make sure you get your full tank of fuel as per the LR handover document!

Good news on your cars birth

You dont really have to look out for much since its new. The only advice I can give you is when you see the car for the first time, keep your cool and try not to get to excited and blikered by your new toy. Check the car over for build problems/errors and paint scratches etc etc just as you would when buying a used car.

Listen to the sales team when he/she goes over the controls and car features as it does save a lot of reading the manual when you already know the basics from handover time.

Then sign for it after you have viewed it and are happy with your purchase.

Andy...picking up at 3pm on Tues. guessing they may well have it in the showroom already, seems to be what they normally do. You may get to see it before me!

Make sure you aren't billed for anything you've not asked for...superguard for example.
