Build has started!

Well folks, I ordered my car early July and today my car is starting to get build, I'm very excited about the fact that delivery is now in reach of imagination.

Today I saw a Dynamic 5 door Evoque on the Autobahn and what can I say it just was such a beauty that I wish my car would be here by now.

But I still have some questions: 1. Is the VIN available by now or is the number generated shortly after building procedure?

2. Are there any experiences according to delivery time after building to mid european countries like Germany, France s.o.? Still hoping to get a faster delivery after the 12th of November(end of building procedure) (assumed delivery date: 6.12.12) almost 1 month to get the car to Germany seems to be quite long!?

My understanding is that the VIN is normally available just before the car goes into build.

2. it took them 2 weeks from build date to the dealer in Germany in my case. make sure to double check painting. we did not noticed small scratches on the roof during handover...

Don't know about getting the car to Germany but my car has a build date of 5 Nov and the dealer expects to receive the car on 26 Nov and its only 57 miles away from the factory!

Hey Folks just got the information that car is already build and waiting at the harbour for the next ship, these are some really good news, according to a planed factory finish on the 12th of November!


If someone from the UK is doing a walk at the harbour please check if my car is in well condition .

For those of you still waiting for a build date, don't give up! I made the experience the less I cared about the dates

The faster it got, crazy .
