Thanks for the iPad tip...downloaded last night...brilliant!

And I bloody well love the new Range Rover!! I nearly had a crisis at the thought of handing over 50,000 great british pounds for a car when I bought the Evoque (always bought 'used' cars before) and now here I am sat at my desk wondering whether I could spend 75,000 great british pounds on a car in the next 12 months!!

I really loved my old FFRR and in truth, prefer it to the Evoque...but the one stumbling block was the fact that even when lowered, there were a couple of occassions where I couldn't get into a twon centre car park and that caused me a significant issue...so I'm really hoping that the new Range is just a couple of inches lower!

That said, that would then be a major dilema...let's assume that I can justfiy spending £75k on a car...and let's assume that I only lose c.£10k in the first year of the Evoque and I can sell it for c.£40k...that leaves me with a £35k delta. Do I...

a) sell the Evoque and buy the new Range
b) keep the Evoque and buy a second car with the £35k??? (i.e. a 3 year old FFRR or a 6 year old Vantage etc)

Aaaaaarrrrrggggghhhh...it's too hard...

You could go for the 45mpg £62,000 version an dress it up to look like the £72,000 one? Hope that LR get the official fuel consumption right on the L405 because 45mpg is some claim for a car that is bigger than the current one even if it is 400kgs lighter, if folks buy it expecting 45mpg and struggle to get 35mpg then it LR will have some explaining to do.

I am going to wait until the new full fat is out for a while and see how the depreciate. I paid £40k for the 07 model in 09, it may be a similar situation on the new model.......but the Evoque is not bad, I might go for a grand Evoque or whatever they call the big version....

I just bought the mag on iPad.....thanks for the tip! Strange thing is that in 3 of the 4 pictures, the car looks to me more Orkney than Ipanema.

Also note that when going through the options it fails to include the contrast roof!

Rossy, that's exactly what I thought when I saw the photo too and then I read the article and see it's an Ipanema. I subscribed to the Autocar on the iPad for a year, pity they don't mention in the listing that the subscription price is ex-VAT...... so suddenly the good value looking £89 a year becomes a less attractive £107pa

Looks like Top Gear Mag have one on the fleet now as well according to Tom Ford

Adaptive Dynamics does more than just suspension settings. Like Tim said it also adjusts steering.

All the mags must have them now - Car has one too, though not officially posted about yet they referred to it in another car review (forgotten which)

Ah yes I remember that now - was thinking you might have been suggesting it changed the gearing ratios which I've heard some people / magazines claim before, but that's the S mode on the auto dialler I believe (along with persistant command shift mode).
