Auto Dim Rear View Mirror.
Can any one work out why LR have decided to make this an option given it appears on most or all the other LR products as standard?
Came Home On 02/03/13 Pure Tech In Barolo Black/Cirrus Trim with Bespoke Firenze Ascents + Numerous Factory Options!!

Rover 25GSi - 2005 Everyday Car.
MG ZR-Express Van - 2005 Special Factory Order (Literally a one off).
MG Montego 2.0i - 1990 Shows/Sunny Days.

Arrived: SD4 Prestige Auto Coupe with Lux pack. Ipanema Sand with Black Panoramic Roof
Ambience Interior with Macassa wood.
Now a Jag XFR Kyanite Blue - wow what power.
At home and superb.

Yes it is but if you don't want a Lux pack but do want an auto dip mirror it costs £155 for something that is usually standard.

Just checked my order and yes its included in the Lux pack.
I also have adaptive xenons,blind spot monitoring & heated steering wheel.
£45640 total.........not even checked that order since April!

Just checking - has anyone actually noticed their auto dim rear view mirror 'kick in' ?

It doesn't react instantaneously and takes a few seconds. It's an option because it is more expensive than a plain mirror including the electronics to activate it. Granted, that cost is likely small compared to the £155 option cost which includes profit and VAT.
