My understanding is that you only get a VIN for a car that is built. Therefore one would assume you car is built mine had a wait of 2 weeks before being loaded, but that is not to say yours will. Maybe all the stars have lined up, you have been a good boy through the year and Santa decided to give you a nice surprise Give you dealer a call and get him to confirm.

Chiggy, on your Topix spec sheet, what colour black contrast roof does it say it gave you? Does it read Narvic or Sumatra or Santorini?

I have has a dream run and it's quite unbelievable actually. But it can't be true I don't think. Can't get this lucky!

According to topix, it only says black roof. Doesn't give a description of the colour! From what I've heard it should be narvik, but my dealer said its going to be Sumatra. Still have a feeling it's narvik though!

Mmm o.k,i think Sumatra was never offered for the contrast roofs,only Narvik,which replaced Santorini due to the Japanese situation. If it's anything like all the demos,and cars that have already arrived,it will be Narvik. You still might have got in just in time though,and got the Santorini.
I say this cause the Santorini was always due to come back,and i have just noticed a very recent change on the LD UK Website, that suggests the Santorini is back (check out the roof options and you will see Santorini has replaced Narvik for contrast black)to replace the Narvik,and someone has confirmed this on another thread i just started in the General section.
I'm hoping this change is immediate,and that i get the metallic Santorini for my roof,and also cause on the Dynamics,the grill and mirrors would be Santorini aswell.
My delay would have payed some dividends if i get the Santorini,as it's metallic.

If the demos has narvik and my car has already been built my guess is that mine might be narvik. To be honest I'm not really fussed about it!

Metallic Black grille... That would look pretty good actually! Need to change my grille and side vents as well.

This change will mainly affect the Dynamics,as they have black grills and mirrors as standard,and the original intention was that they would be Santorini. The spec sheets confirm this, plus that very first pre-production LHD Dynamic that came over here for preliminary viewing,also had Santorini. (see pics)
Since the Pure and Prestige don't have the blacks for these specific trim pieces,they won't be affected,but all models that specify black contrast roofs will.
I agree that the solid Narvik is still very good, but since the Dynamics have more black,i think having it metallic literally adds just that little bit of sparkle which is a bonus.
It's strange that they chose to substitute Santorini with Narvik for the short term, as they already had another available metallic in Sumatra which they could have used until the Santorini returns,and thus their would have been less difference with the change over.

Does that mean when buying parts they could come in narvik or in santorini now? Will narvik be cheaper then for the grille seeing as its not metallic?

Off topic, but I much prefer a non metallic black. I have had both and think the solid black looks better in direct sun.

I would say when stock of Narvik runs out, then it will be full steam ahead with Santorini,but it would be best to check before you order just the same. I can't imagine any price differences.

Benzina did you find out if yours went into build today? Get a VIN number? Can help you track it once you get a VIN!

Also, does build date suggest the day it goes into build? or the day the build is estimated to be completed? i.e. built date.
