Any1 hear their auto parking brake engage?

I just got a MY14 that has the auto parking brake that auto engages when I put car in park. I love it.

But, I can hear the module in the back of the trunk engage the brake.
My co-workers MY16 doesn't make the noise mine makes. It's silent.

Anyone else hear their auto parking brake engage when putting car in park?

Mine's a Manual, but you can hear it in quiet situations, any background noise and its usually unnoticeable.

I like to be able to hear it, then you know it's engaged and working!

I can hear it as clear as a bell from outside when my wife either stops on the drive and puts it into park or when she engages reverse to pull off the drive.

Can't say I've heard it from inside the car but you can tell when its engaged as you can feel the pedal drop when you have your foot on the brake.

Valid point you make.

I put my faith in the light coming on, the pedal dropping and the car not moving. At some point, you have to believe that things will happen on these cars when we expect them to......
