A successful days detailing

The first nice day since we picked up the car so I was out early

Snow foamed
Washed
Clay bar
Rinsed
Dryed
IPA wipe
C1 Crystal laquer to the paintwork
G1 Clear vision to the glass
C5 Alloy wheel armour
L1 leather guard to the seats
T1 Tyre and trim to the tyres and black trim around the aches and sils
C2 Liquid crystal to the inside glass and dash
and finaly C1.5 Silo seal to the paintwork

Pretty chuffed with the results

Looking good great mirroring on the rear picture
How did you find the C1, did you apply it outside if so what was the drying time before removing the residue on a warm day like today?

That looks great Deaky...if you fancy doing another tomorrow I can be with you in a couple of hours!!

Wow you have been busy, I only got as far as the C1 leaving the C1.5 until tomorrow as I thought the C1 needed at last 12 hours to cure. Great photos and a nice Evoque

I did my Evoque today outside with C1 and though I was nervous as its only a week old it was a very simple job. I will say though that I have a black car with white roof and whilst the body was simple it's not so easy to see residue on the light colour paintwork. Anyone about to use C1 remember to remove the residue from behind the door handles as its easily missed!!

You need to remove it before it dries. I worked fairly briskly, one panel at a time. Spread it on with the applicator pad. Lightly wiped/spread it with a microfibre then polished it over with another dry microfibre. I found it really easy to do. I put a gazebo up to shade the car, none of the panels were hot.

Grat job it does look well

Mines already treated so just as case of washing/drying and finishing off with C2 detailing spray today. Also gave the interior leather a clean. Car looks sparkly.

Lots of pedestrians staring across at the car, it most certainly wouldn't have been me.

A word of advice, if you have GTechniq lacquer treatment, be careful if using snowfoam, apparently it can be too harsh, out detailer gave us a litmus strip or something similar, and the foam was too harsh, chemistry is not my forte, so only using GWash now.

What make of snow form shampoo was that with. Most are PH neutral so should be safe to use on wax or sealant treated panels.

Hmmmm you have me worried now. Just been off to check. Says on the snow foam that it doesn't strip wax and polish.

It doesn't say its PH! .
I use Meguiar's hyper wash (8 alkaline) which wouldn't strip your treatment as long as you use the correct mix.
Valet Pro all so make a great snow shampoo which is PH neutral.
