I read that too.. but I also read that they're first considering the special editions and convertible (bathtub with wheels) before any "R" business. I'm sure it will happen but more likely towards the end of next year.

Freelander2 was originally available with a Volvo V6 lump in the front, Evoque is a Freelander2 with a party frock on so shouldn't be too much of a problem fitting it in. My concern would be can the rest of the car handle the extra ooomph and would the suspension be up to the potential - AD would have to be standard and 24" wheels??
Could this be the 2014MY Dynamic Plus Lux? Would definitely have to have extra spoilers for the looks so even less off road potential. I think they would also need to rethink guessed at the £60k price tag if you can get a pretty decent Focus STi for half the price and more go!

I wonder if it's worth visiting the dealer and putting a deposit down, could be a big queue forming, I'll get my keys.
