RE: 2016 facelift conversion.

So, all started today. Went and got my new bumper wrapped at totally dynamics, Norfolk who did a great job. No pics as forgot.

Got over the the garage about lunchtime and they didn't mind me hanging about and providing a helping hand. I manged to get my facelift mirrors fitted and all plug and play. Staying with gloss black caps this time.

For those that may be pondering it, rested the facelift grill in preface lift bumper and lights and all lined up perfectly.

Bumper all stripped off and Headlights tested all sitted in oem head light brackets.

Side by side. Will source a set of black pack headlights once the ground work is done.

Quick SOS call to Dan at Duckworths who pinged me a wiring diagram and within ten minutes 2 wires swopped and all lights bar led strip were working. That's where the good luck ended as a few hours later still no joy with the Sig strip. Will update tomorrow.

RE: 2016 facelift conversion.

Looking good! Thanks for showing the New grill in the old bumper/lights. Could you share the pinout with us? For myself I'd like to know the pinout of the wiring harness (car side) of the headlight.
Good luck tomorrow

How do you mean pinout carside? Have you been trying this conversion yourself? Will happily share any info.

RE: 2016 facelift conversion.

I meant the pinout of connector of the cable coming from the harness. It's obviously the same as the pinout of the original light, but different from the new. Can you post the Pin numbers and colours of the original situation, so I know what wire does what? I'm trying to figure out some things about the lights. I've figured out the tail lights myself, as they are easy to remove. Thanks for your time

Some useful links if anyone attempting any of this. Door card removal. Need to remove the door or at least move the top away to be able to move the tweeter and get access to the 3 bolts. All plug and play though so nice easy update.

Sticking with the black housings me thinks.

RE: 2016 facelift conversion.

So, went up the garage at 930 and was all done by 1300. Yippee, well not quite. Frank my garage man had spent 3 hours on it the previous evening and couldn't get anywhere with the lights and textd me the previous evening saying he didn't think it could be done with our current info, so I was expecting a compromise.

So, he spent an hour or so this morning re going over the wiring diagrams but reluctantly decided we'd gone as far as we could currently with the lights.

So, I had a decision. Do I fit the new shape lights that all worked except the dlr, or pop the original lights back on. The one thing that was never in doubt was that the new grill and bumper were going on!

So, finished off transferring the wiring and parking sensors all across from bumper to bumper. All the sensors fitted the new 2016 bumper perfectly.

Fog lights were plug and play. Had to transfer over the lower arch plastics from my original bumper. Bumper ready to go. Looks so much better IMO.

Bumper ready to go we decided to put the car back together. I've got an unhappy wifey at home as I've been playing with HER car and not been there for a day or so of my days off from work. So, original lights or new lights with no drls. Well without the DLR's seemed no point so decided to go stock lights and fit the grill/bumper. Kind of a hybrid!

So re assemble started.

Looking good.

Yup, liking it.

Hmm, over the moon with the look.

So, original lights, with 2016 dynamic lux grill and bumper with all black pack accessories ( lower tow eye cover and darkened fogs)

Few pics outside. Apologies for poor pics. Rubbish day and not clean. Will get some better ones shortly.

Love the look as all oem but looks so much tougher and newer. Will load the wiring diagrams and the main issue shortly. Hopefully someone can help sort as so close but no cigar.

Are you going to add the Gesture Tailgate controls and the spoiler brake light?[Image: land-rover-evoque_2016_08.jpg]
