RE: 2014

Dealer emailed me confirming the update has began for MY2014. Backlog from cars made on the 9/11/13. So I'm guess mine is still sat waiting for the update.

RE: 2014

Hi Guys,

I wanted to ask is the Chasis number the same as VIN??

I have got my chassis and reg plate today, however car is still waiting to come off assembly line and awaiting update.

I want to sign up to topic to see if my car shows up on there and make sure no optional extras have been missed. However is does not recognise the chassis number as VIN? or it is not loaded onto mainstream systems?

Thanks

Chassis number is the same as the VIN. If you have the correct one it will show up on Topix without it costing you a penny.

Somewhere in the North Sea.

Information:
Rest of World: Quarantine in Dealer or applicable NSC location.

This Update Prior to Sale Notice has been issued to advise dealers of a change to the assured VIN and provide the relevant repair instructions, parts and warranty information.

The Update Prior to Sale Notice is valid for six months only. Repairs must be completed prior to the expiry date at the top of this Update Prior to Sale Notice.
Dear Colleagues

Issue

A potential concern has been identified with the automatic transmission on the 2014 model year Range Rover Evoque vehicles in the above VIN range. When driving between 25 – 30 mph (40 – 48 kph), the transmission may unexpectedly select neutral. Normal operation of the transmission will be recovered if the ignition is turned off and the vehicle is then restarted.

Action to be taken

You are requested to quarantine the affected vehicles that are in your control or in the control of your dealers and refrain from releasing the vehicles for onward distribution and sale pending completion of the rework action detailed in this Update Prior to Sale Notice.

These vehicles should not be released until this rework procedure has been completed.

On completion of the rework procedure, the vehicle may then be released from quarantine for onward distribution and sale.

Please ensure that you check DDW to ensure that the vehicle is affected by this Update Prior to Sale Notice prior to undertaking any rework action. DDW will be updated to reflect only those vehicles affected. Should you require a listing of the affected vehicles, please contact the Land Rover Field Actions team by e-mail at jlrcamp@jaguarlandrover.com. All overseas requests should be forwarded via the National Sales Company/Regional Office only.

Yours faithfully

Brett Hallam

Manager Technical Service Engineering
