2 or 4 door?

Has anyone here bought one or the other and wished they went with the other? I love both and do not know which model to go with. I am torn between the two. My only actual need is a spacious trunk and both seem to have that covered with the seats down so it really just comes down to style.

2 door difficult to get into the rear seats. electric seats take forever to slide forward.

Agree with Bee. Have the 2 door and love the look over the 4, but there is only 2 of us, and the 4 legged child gets in via the rear door. Once you are in the back there is plenty of room, plus it's not me getting in the back, so it doesn't bother me have difficult it is

2 or 4 door?

Having two kids, the 4 door is a no brainier. Looked at the coupe but getting in the back was ridiculous. Still get tons of compliments about how great the car looks so we're happy. It's a silly thing but I do wish we had the bonnet vents. No idea why the coupe would have them but not the 4 door.

The bonnet vents are the only thing I miss about the coupe, I certainly don't miss moving the seats to let someone in the back.
So glad I've now got the 5 door.

2 or 4 door?

Have had both and the 2 door is without doubt the better looking car but we now have the 4 door and it's just more practical.

Somewhere in the North Sea.

RE: 2 or 4 door?

I'm not sure what the 2nd hand market is like in America but in The UK the 4 door holds its value better and costs less to start with. Far less demand for the 2 door. I've had both and the 4 door I'd a no brainer despite it looking slightly less sporty.

You'll love either so you won't go too far wrong! Enjoy.

Thanks for all the replies. I am going to head to the dealer tomorrow and look at them a little more closely.

RE: 2 or 4 door?

The coupe was originally expected to capture 30% of sales but it's achieved far less than that. New buyers chose it for the more extreme looks and being very close to the LRX concept.

All fine but if you ever carry rear seat passengers on anything other than a very occasional basis, rear access is a pain. The lower roof line at the rear doesn't compromise either head room, rear visibility or load access height too much. The coupe certainly looks more unique.

It's never been clear to me why the coupe is more expensive, I don't think it's anything to do with build cost, just what the market will bear. The relative unpopularity is a negative response to LR's attempt to set premium pricing. It wouldn't surprise me at all if the coupe was ditched in the forthcoming facelift.

My Evoque coupe has gone, missing it, but I will certainly enjoy the 4 door convenience of the RRS which is replacing it.

Edit: A quick look at Autotrader shows 200 3 door and 1100 5 door cars for sale which suggests that expected 30% has actually been 15%.

Mark

Evoque was great, now in an RRS SVR

RE: 2 or 4 door?

In UK coupe and 5 door are supposed to have been the same price since last March!

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.
