Rather handsome looking vehicle - you can see the Evoque styling influence through and through.

Saw this on Land Rovers own website.

Personnally I think the C pillar is very clumsy, looks too much like that absolute dud we used to have in Europe called the vauxhall/Opel Frontera............... I'm sure that the RRS2/ L409 RR lights won't be there on the final version and the side windows are too small for a Land Rover

I like the futuristic look, thinking back to the LRX and how it went into production, I wonder how much of this will go into final production.

The only difficult bit looks like it would be very easy to hit the brake/accelerator interchangeably and not know if you going fast or stopping.

I agree about the nasty C pillar and the glass behind it looks uncomfortably like a Mercedes ML.

Mark, I was not thinking of a Mercedes ML which wouldn't be too bad I also thought it looked very Korean................. a company with an name that nobody can pronounce starting with S (Ssanyongsang?) and extremely down market! Not the image LR wishes for what I imagine will be a car with a price starting in the mid £50k's.

Looks a lot like the Toyota 4Runner from the 1980s. Not something for LR to crow about.

Long article in this month's Car Magazine about how they created the new Discovery concept car. Difficult to believe they will make radical changes at this stage. The suicide doors are there to show off the interior and will not make it into production.

There seems to be a dilution of Range Rover DNA into the Land Rover gene pool, they are really pushing the Land Rover brand with RR being pushed even further up market.

We'll understand the strategy, apparently, when the Defender replacement is announced and it sounds like there will be howls of anguish from traditionalists when it is. For now, Gerry McGovern enjoys the support he needs but then so did Bangle at BMW and it's taken them a long time to untangle themselves from that mess.
