Swirl free and looking beautiful - Senna - 07-03-2014 03:41pm

Took my Evoque over to Lee from Extreme detailing on Monday and finally picked up this morning looking unbelievable.

Mods. I have no affiliation, financial or otherwise with Extreme Detailing. Just a happy customer.
By all means delete if found to be inappropriate. Thanks.

Took delivery of the car in October (I think) complete with scratches, grazes and plenty of swirls. Since then I've been naughty and lazy and used my local hand car wash place (more like sandpaper wash) several times and the car was looking pretty sorry for itself.

Also took delivery of a new RRS last week and after that was detailed I just had to have the Evoque sorted too.

As most know, the black plastic three quarter panels towards the rear of the car scratch by just looking at them.

Here's what they looked like after Lee's wash and decontamination process. Swirls galore!

And after Lee's magic

A few more pics of the finished car. By the way, if anyone is wondering, I had the silver bits front and back wrapped in gloss black 3M by a local guy. Great job and now looking very stealthy Cool

More pics.

Never knew Santorini black had gold bits Shocked

Are you sure it's not Barolo Black?

Looking good by the way.

Yep. Very sure
Though I do like Barolo black also.

In fact I like most of the black metallic's by LR.

My new RRS is Mariana black (with blue flecks).

Barolo is the one with red flecks.

Excellent work Thumbs Up

It isn't available now but LR also had a Black called Bourneville - it was a stunning black with very very dark brown flecks in it. When the sun shone on a clean Bourneville coloured car the brown really stood out otherwise it just looked black

Nice work there, those Plastic panels are very hard to keep the swirls off and hard to correct, rest of the car looks great too, what's been applied after the correction? Wax? Ceramic Coating? Although even with ceramic coatings mine are starting to swirl again.

I was viewing your pics on my phone earlier today, when you mentioned red, hence my thought about Barolo.

But I can see that from picture no 4 you do have Santorini.

What have you done to the sump guards?
