I cant decide on having a spare wheel or not, in my last 3 cars i have not touched the spare, any one had to use the glue stuff, does it knacker the wheel, any thoughts !! ?

Ordered July 2012- Evoque SD4 5 door Prestige auto, Mauritius Blue, Ambience, LUX Pack, Black Contrast Roof, Pana Roof, Privacy Glass, Heated Wheel, Adaptive Xenons, Black Roof Rails, Removable Tow Bar

Has a puncture in my D4 recently. Went over a nail. I changed the tyre and drove to garage. Found the nail had gone vertically into the tread and they fixed it with a rubber plug. cost me £10 I think. I was told if I'd used the foam they wouldn't have been able to repair the tyre and it would of cost me upwards of £200 for a new one....
hence I've ticked the spare wheel option

They say that but its not true that the foam damages the tyre - it's just a bit of a messy job to clean up which tyre guys would rather avoid and would rather sell you a new tyre.

If you look on ebay they regularly have tyres for sale with very little wear and a single puncture repair...

Evoque Speccing - rear air vents - smokeyhill - 15-12-2012 11:21pm

After months of mulling it over i finally put down a deposit for a Pure sd4 Evoque.

Colour was the biggest problem for me, went from white to lime to Ferenze, then ended up with fuji white after all. Exclamation

I noticed only last night that you can order the rear vents without the rear entertainment for a not too heart rending £90. Even the dealer today said that was a new one on him.

I know its been do-able before if you asked for it specifically but it is now a standard standalone option on the online build tool - i haven't bothered with the rear entertainment, kids can share the ipad if they get bored.

Delivery estimated at end of march so just over 3 months. Not too shabby, now all i have to do is wait.

Problem with the rear vents i believe is that they blow only cold air............ Never any warm air

Yes well aware of that limitation. But still a nice to have. Prefer the kids used the rear vents when they want some fresh air than opening the widows whilst we are barrelling down the motorway. Shocked

Thought I should follow up on the rear vents point raised earlier. Having picked up the Evoque (Pure SD4 with panny roof and rear air vents) at the start of March I spent the weekend just gone in the Evoque during our recent snow and cold weather.

Starting the car from cold I noticed that once the front air vents started pumping warm air into the cabin, the rear air vents also starting puming warm air. So the rear air vents do provide heated air after all.

Not what I read elsewhere in the forums, was able to repeat this on Saturday and Sunday. It was -1C outside, the air coming out of the rear vents was definitely warmed up.

Could be something else corrected with the 2013MY changes
