Gap Insurance - KaDargo - 10-08-2011 12:07pm

I will be taking this out - anyone got any recommendations?

My order sheet had a space for it - are the dealers quotes competitive?

(seems to be about £300 in the searches I've done so far)

Gap Insurance, pays the differance after your 1st new year of ownership, so if anything happens to your pride and joy, Gap pays the differance and you get a new car, It can go upto 5 Years.

If that's not correct iam Sure Tim will correct me,

Bri

Thanks for the heads up Tim.

Yes we sell GAP insurance, underwritten by AM Trust Europe (one of the largest UK providers).

Dealers generally make a good margin on the products.
We can sell for substantially less.

Website: http://www.gapinsuranceuk.net

Benefits:
- 12 months interest free/purchase on Debit/credit cards.

- As most insurers allow you 'like for like' on brand new cars in the first year, and due to the fact on return to invoice policies you have to buy within 30 days generally of purchase, we allow you to buy now and defer the start date for a year to get full benefit of the GAP policy.

- Also our policies as 'return to invoice' are transferable onto your next vehicle should you switch before the term of the GAP has run out.

Hope we stand a chance to get your business.. thanks again!

Welcome to the forum Kam and Bri 7 you got it in one!

Here is the premium spectrum Kam has sent me
"What's the balance of the car? £40-60k is it?

If that’s the case:

Term: 3 years
Claim Limit: £25,000
Total Premium: £209.00

Term: 4 years
Claim Limit: £25,000
Total Premium: £276.00"

Remember what you are insuring si the difference between what your own normal car insurance company will pay out and the cost of the replacement car, up to £25000 in this case.
