thanks for that, they look okay to me,
by the sounds of it they would also be a lot easier to fit and less work involved.
i think ill buy them ,
ill let you know how they look.
thanks again.

oh and please hold on my first request to put me on the list
for a set of OEM grills.
i hope i have not put you other guys out, but these look okay.
Any way we will see once i get them.

I have tried to fit the OEM bonnet vents a few times and after a few days had to take taken them off..and its a very difficult job to remove the tape without scratching the bonnet.

The reason being is that these vents were only designed to fit into the recess of the coupe bonnet and are held into position by decent strong clips.

Because these vents are very rigid with no flexibility and have a very flat base it is impossible to get them to fit on a bonnet that has a slight curve always falling away to the front.

With even using the best 3m type adhesion tape about they will look ok for a few days, until you get moisture between the base of the vent and the tape and then the front of the vent will leave the tape and sit above the bonnet (which looks poor close up) because they have a rigid flat base and not a slight curve.

If the other type of vents have any flexibility in them then they should be ok, and maybe before fitting them place some black mesh material under them i.e. speaker material just to hide the paint from the bonnet showing through..Good luck.Very Happy

You need to really grind away the bottom of the vent to make it flat to get any sort of decent adhesion. I personally have given up on trying to grind the underside off "neatly"
