ECM update - Fixes emissions and throttle response - RoverMD - 20-06-2012 11:55pm

Got a letter today regarding and ECM update

"A limited number of Range Rover Evoque vehicles may not be equipped with the required engine calibration software, which may affect emission system performance during certain driving conditions. Your authorized Land Rover retailer will update the software of the ECM of your vehicle...The updated software has been designed to also improve the throttle response of your vehicle and to enhance driving experience"

Hope this takes care of it. Anyone already done this and how did it go?

There have been lots of folks with throttle response issues so this is good news.

Could one of the folks with full access to Topix advise which VIN numbers this applies to please?

I was going to have that done next week Tim. WB its only on the petrol models

I noticed something odd when the weather got hot so im guessing that might fix that. Everytime the A/C kicks on the motor lugs down and shakes like hell. Guess it will give it more RPM to fix that issue

Getting mine done tomorrow. Will report back. This has been my biggest complaint. It really is jerky at low rpms just as kicks in at about 1500-1800 rpms. Really hopeful though.

I only notice that getting on the freeway when I'm on a metered on ramp. I don't notice it on the street or slow traffic. I believe it's the turbo lag before the turbo spins up. Let me know if you see a difference!

I just hope the MPG doesnt get affected, kind of enjoying low 20s in during rush hour traffic
