DPF Warning light - Nowaytk - 06-05-2012 06:42pm

Does anyone know what the DPF warning light looks like?
Is it a light that comes on by the clusters or is it just a message that comes on in the central display panel ?
I tend to do a lot of short journeys so am expecting it to come on at some point, I thought to myself, what does it look like, couldn't find it in the manual.
Has anyone had it come on yet?

Yellow engine warning light and a message on the information centre stating 'DPF full'

At least that's what it is in a Freelander 2.

It need not come on if you take the car out once a week and give it a good fast blast up a motorway for a couple of junctions and back so the DPF heats up enough to regenerate.

Thanks guys, sounds like a good excuse for a blast, not that I need one

Has anyone installed a dpf indicator light so as to let yo know it has started regeneration?

Just watch your Av MPG, tends to head downwards when doing a regen...
