Warning sound on double lock - Mikey777 - 05-05-2012 02:32pm

Hi All,
Do others agree? when pressing key twice to double lock the warning sound appears very low and almost inaudable?Guess there is no way to increase sound volume?

Yes, and I don't know how to increase volume.

You cannot increase it as that and the alarm are set to a maximum now by law after so many people complained about being disturbed by car alarms going off at night for no apparent reason and the peeps when those with remote control alarms used to have over loud "check/ confirmation". This is the first Land Rover I have owned that peeps at me to confirm locking the rest have only flashed the indicators.

Hi,
Many thanks, guessed it may be something like that but never mind the old hearing is getting a bit poor so when moving away from vehicle cannot always be sure the double locking has kick in!
One of the problems of getting an old git.

Don't the wing mirrors fold in when the car is fully locked.

^^ only if they come as standard or you order them on a vehicle where they don't. (if that makes sense! Laughing )

It's only the 'blips' that distinguish double locking, though.
