LR Experience Centres - CSJ - 12-01-2012 06:58pm

Hi Everyone

I guess like a few others on here I got a voucher for a half day LR Experience.

Am thinking of making a weekend of it and wonder whether anyone can give feedback as to what is the best/nicest centre to pick. Scotland is to far for me but any of the others are possible would just like to know what people think are the best ones.

Thanks for your thoughts Smile

The Luton Hoo centre is considered to be pretty good and I really enjoyed it.
There is also a good bistro type pub just a mile from the entrance.
Cheers

Good question! I need to use a voucher too and did the course at the Milton Keyne's centre when I got my D4 - excellent - but that is no longer an LR Experience venue.

Luton appears to be the next closest to me and newest but I've heard mixed reports!

I'd be interested to know what Gaydon is like.

We are planning to go to Peckthorton Castle on March the 10th in Cheshire as that one looks very nice but then we are doing a Halewood Factory tour the day before so it makes sense too. I am just waiting for LR to release the March Experience dates. Rolling Eyes

I am planning on going to Halewood, you can tour the factory and have a drive at the same time.
Hope these help

If you look on the other LR/RR forums many say Luton Hoo is a bit artificial and a relatively small site. I also did Milton Keynes before it closed and also Rockingham Castle near Corby. In my opinion Rockingham is the better of the two sites and has a large off road area on which to try out your vehicles capabilities.

For info, the dealer vouchers can't be used at Halewood.

The one to do is the "big daddy" at Eastnor Castle which is also where LR offroad test all the new models

Must be a UK thing for vouchers. We don't get that in the US Sad. Sound like fun though
