Springs are a questionable business - they will most likely ruin your shocks and the ride quality will be most likely hugely (negatively) affected. If one really wants to lower the car the coilovers is the preferred way to do it. I lowered my Audi S5 (car is sold now) with high quality coilovers from Stasis (Ohlin dampeners) and enjoyed over 55K miles on them. At that time I was getting a bit tired of the stiffer ride. The look was awesome (spacers were added too) but for a daily rig and an annual mileage of $18K+ it was not pleasant any longer. I decided not to ever mod my daily car like that; a weekend worrier would be great thou.

I agree with Martin, lowered my previous car, and while it looked fantastic, the compromise was just too great on a daily drive...each to their own though Smile
