Lowered.... Haters gonna hate - CH11PY_H - 16-11-2016 08:18pm

I know it can be a sore subject on these forums on lowering a 4x4 but after all it is personal choice.
Lowered my Evoque by 45mm and I think it sits much better than it did before.
Looks low in some of the pictures due to the steep hump on my driveway.

Will get some better pictures when it's clean but here's 2 for now...

Blimey - looks like it's going to bottom out on your drive!

Looks good, any issues? (Camber, etc)

I have been toying with the idea of lowering my Evoque. Seeing how good it looks on yours; I think you have helped me make my mind up.

What springs did you go for and what were the fitting costs (if you don't mind me asking)?

As above. What springs are you on? First pic looks good. Second pic looks a little low, but appreciate could be angle. Need a few more pics please. I've a set of h&r 25mm springs sitting in the garage and keep pondering if to fit them or not. Has yours adaptive suspension?

Have you thought about Oem style 22s. Would fill out the arches?

Thanks for the comments.

I opted for the Direnza springs dropping it 45mm! Plenty of room still left to play with and fingers crossed have no issues to report as of yet.
I paid £135 for the springs and paid a friend £100 to fit them.
I do have terrain response and dynamic mode etc which I believe alters the suspension but the springs have no affect on this what so ever so I am told.
The second picture makes it look a lot lower than it is due to the rather steep entrance to our driveway.

I will try and get some more pictures tomorrow to give you a better idea.

Definately going to consider going with bigger OEM wheels eventually.

The lowering should have no effect on any of Evoque's programmes unless your car is a Dynamic with the Magnetride, and then it will only have problems if you have replaced the Magneride struts as well. The only Land Rovers that lowering the suspension would have an effect on would be the cars with air suspension and there is a way around lowering them but it tends to damage the suspension, leads to excessive wear on tyre shoulders and destroys the ride quality. Why do you feel that you need side steps with the car lowered so much?

I don't need the side steps for access, infact they get in the way more than anything Lol
I just love the stance with the steps on. Wouldn't be without them now.
Took a couple of pics today but really need to find some good photo locations.
