It was done in a Freelander1 a few years back by a private entrant, the big teams all laughed............................. it finished, many of the big team's cars didn't

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

RE: Who wants to Beef up their Evoque??

I'm sorry but I don't consider Audi's Q's or BMW's X's to be off road vehicles, they are road going cars given a limited amount of ability to go off road. Merc's M's,R's and G's have more ability straight out of the factory than any BMW or Audi. The VW Toureg/Porsche Cayenne also are miles more competent straight out the factory. Seems odd that Jeep wasn't rated higher as they have been doing 4WD / Offroad vehicles longer than LR.

Quote:The final version hasn't been signed off yet, but the prototype is powered by BMW-sourced 3.0-litre diesel engine with 271bhp. It has a massive 260-litre fuel tank and weighs almost two tonnes.

How can they place a 3L engine in there? Isn't the engine cabin restricted to a figure more around the 2L size or so said RR for the evoque? Or does this gives hopes to atually see a real 3L Diesel engine in the evoke later on! Very Happy

I'm sure you can shoe horn one in there, if a VR6 can fit a mk1 golf, then there is someone, somewhere with the ability to do it.
