My first Disco, which was a V8 petrol engined jobbie, ran 54000 miles on its Avon Turbospeed tyres and it never went offroad!

Going to the other extreme, the worst car I ever had for tyres was an Alfa GTV. Both front tyres were shot after 6500 miles and that's just with 'normal' road driving. Anyone beat that?

RE: What tyres?

Just had a quote for a new tyre on my TTRS - £257 per wheel Shocked

Atleast I got nearly 15k out of it!

So - with the RR - can we expect over 20k miles out of each tyre? If so, that is a pleasant surprise. Assume its tread depth is it?

RE: What tyres?

It all depends on how you drive - early RRS's ate tyres too, but they were Craptinentals

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

RE: What tyres?

On our Kuga we have 235/45 R19. We went through three tyres in a year due to some very unfortunate bad luck (or could have been driving), plus one other change due to general usage.

None the less we had to wait up to 1-2 weeks on every change, which at some stages ended up in us having to use a rental car. Tyres were about £250-£320 each but fortunately we had tyre insurance. We obviously have an unusual size to have caused the problems experienced (I know this is a common problem with Kuga 19" owners). We had Bridgestones but due to stock now a mixture between Pirelli, Continental, and Bridgestones.

But after that fiasco I'm somewhat scarred in thinking to either get tyre insurance again or go out and buy a set of 4 spare tyres as a back up to save on cost and time should we need a replacement. Need to check how ready available the Evoque 20" tyre specs are.

Arrived 22nd December - SD4 Dynamic Auto, Fuji White, Panoramic/Contrast Roof, Dynamic Plus & Lux Pack

RE: What tyres?

Will the standard evoque Tyres be any use in the snow ?

I was thinking of getting the STD td4 & just leaving the STD Tyres on for winter & hoping that would be good enough

Or getting the 2wd & fitting it with snow Tyres ( I know that would work to)

Not sure what to do

SD4 Arrived, Fuji , 20" style wheels, Privacy glass, Front fogs, Auto wiper and Auto Lights, Black leather

I got through a brand new set of tyres on a 911 in an afternoon once, driving 12 laps of the Nurburgring.

Evoque was great, now in an RRS SVR
