Auto dimming mirrors

does anyone know if the £340 exterior mirror option comes with auto dimming? it makes the point of highlighting this in the memory version, but there's no further info about this option if you don't select memory.

The exterior mirrors on the RRE do not dim (like the interior rear view mirror does if you pay for the option). What they do do is automatically dip (ie move downwards) on nearside when reverse gear is selected. This feature you will either love or loathe (personallly I am in the latter bracket) and it can be permenantly disabled by a LR dealer. Trust this helps

BFG, I used to loathe the reverse dip thing on my last RRS............................ until it was set up properly for me, now I couldn't live without it and set it up myself on the FFRR (it really is very easy to set up properly!)

Must admit I would love to have dipping/ tinting "wing" mirrors, seems a bit shortsighted of LR to only do it on the rear view and not on at least the driver's door mirror.
