The delights of modern travel.......

I'm sat in an A319 on the Tarmac at Glasgow waiting to take off for London Heathrow.
Flight was supposed to depart at 15:35, at 15:40 the captain stands up at the front if the plane and announces that due to high winds at Heathrow reducing the number of inward flights we won't take off until 5pm.
The Captain also told us that Heathrow can handle us BUT Brussels and the EU now controls UK air space and some faceless bureaucrat has said "non" so here we sit waiting. Please remind me that this is the 21st Century..... So glad that for a change I'm not on a connection out of LHR this evening and also chose to travel today for a meeting tomorrow lunchtime in London!

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

Tim a right PITA, however, at least in this case the nanny state is concerned about our safety and as far as air travel goes that has to be paramount.

Used to fly a lot back in my audit days, and some of my worst experiences (4 bad ones) were in UK airspace.

Have a safe journey down to LHR.

Should have stayed at home, the weather is much nicer up north!
