Superb £1.57 mod for your Evoque...

Just installed one of these... Took a week to arrive all the way from Hong Kong for the princely sum of £1.57 including postage!!

Has made a HUGE difference!

Have you guessed yet?.....

New 16 LED bulb to replace the pitiful standard boot light....

TIP: if you install one and it doesn't work then just reinstall the other way around as it has a + and a - side.

Pics of the bulb and before and after - The "Cars" book was to show how much more light is thrown out but basically the whole boot is lit with the new bulb...

Will post some pics later.

Im thinking of replacing all my interior lights with LED's. However I am not technically minded at all.
Is it likely that if I walk into my local auto parts shop and ask for the appropriate parts they will be available. Or is the connection/shape/voltage quite an unusual combination?

Or are the retail prices of these LED bulbs ridiculous. Cause £1.57 is brilliant!

SD4 Pure, Auto, 5 dr, Mauritius Blue, Pure Tech Pack, Reversing Camera, Front parking aid, Heated seats, Sat Nav, mud flaps. after market tint.

Good job, the standard 5W Festoons are certainly very poor.

Evoque was great, now in an RRS SVR

You'd probably pay £6+ per bulb in an auto parts shop.

I don't think I'm going to do the interior lights as they are bright enough for me - and I don't want them to be too bright.

The boot light on the other hand was hopeless and this very worthwhile upgrade has made the world of difference.

I believe for the 5 interior lights you need these ones (under £3 delivered for a pair!) -> http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-5-LED-501-...43a92a253f

Not sure what you mean - the fit was perfect - it is a 37mm bulb.

sorry, I wasn't clear, I looked at the listing and can see 37mm is length of bulb.

I think you can get these LED bulbs (and others) from Amazon (I have no connection with Amazon except as a satisfied customer) most of their suppliers will also ship abroad.
