RE: Some things I miss now I have an Evoque

I miss cubby holes for phone, change, sunglasses act, the 7 speed auto in my old SLK, and a bit more oomph!

Nothing major to be honest - the cubby holes annoy me most!

On my merc it was part of the cruise. I always used it on long stretches of speed camera heavy road. Just set it at 30 and the car won't go above that speed (unless you kick down). So useful - I would use it almost daily. I find myself setting the cruise at 30 now which I'm sure isnt as safe.

I get what Tim is saying about the speed alarm, but setting and resetting that all the time would be fiddly and dangerous.

No you can't - it dispenses a predetermined, fixed amount regardless of how quickly you pull the washer stalk.

True for the back, but not for the front. Little tug on stick, little water - longer tug on stick, more water.

I find this useful although mine is more a beep than a gongWink

Things I miss:-

Anonymity.

Boot space is an issue but I new this might be a problem for me when I initially viewed it at Evoque Live.

Had it on 2 cars, never used it. Happy just to have std cruise.

Ahh, thanks. Another nanny for the driver. Hmmm, I've always used the throttle pedal to limit my speed. Learn something new on this forum all the time!

The evoque is a step up from my freelander, so nothing much to miss. But I do miss my disco 3 the best car/van/tent money can buy, was tempted to go for a disco 4 but my head said no can't justify the higher running costs for one person.
