It's something you are given but not sure if it's only for Pentland LR customers only or if anyone who's bought a LR can apply for one:

Pat just as a matter of interest when did you place your order, as I am trying to gauge when I will get a build date,
as Pentland are not to forth coming with information at the moment, may have to pay a visit to their new show room at newbridge

I placed my order on the 19 August and was added to their holding pool.
Pentland submitted the order to LR late in December so just over four months in the holding pool.

Build date of the 2nd March was confirmed once they submitted the order with a delivery date of the 19th March so seven months wait from placing my order.

I've not checked with them since early January to see if the date has changed and going by what others have posted there is every chance it will have slipped despite being told by my sales guy to expect the build date to come forward.

I think i will be trying getting prices from independant specialists and also the team valley land rover centre, which is a place that is francised by LR but is not a dealership and only does servicing/repairs. It claims to be cheaper.

£400 for a first service seems mad to me when I have previously paid £99 for a civic type r and about £130 for a vw sciroccos first services both at franchised dealers, and when volvo will do you a service plan for £300 for an xc60.

I'm with you Ed. I had the Scirocco R, My son has the Mk6 GTI and my youngest the Mk6 Match and in every case it cost £250 for a three year service deal.

Arrived. Prestige SD4 Auto 5DR OG September 11

Thanks ED209, that's a good tip as I only live about half a mile from the team valley but hadn't heard about them. I'll also be giving them a call/visit before I go with the stratstone service plan.

no experience or affiliation with them, they look like a professional outfit from the site though. I have sent them a quick email asking for an estimate of servicing costs using their services.
