Seatbelt sound disable do-it-yourself

The last time I went to the garage for the checkup I asked the mecanic to takeout his computer and disable the frakking sound for the seatbelt.
He told me it was not necsessary to do it by computer. These are the steps :

Sit in the driversseat
turn on the contact (press the start button without your foot on the break)
take the seatbelt with your left hand and put your righthand thumb on the red release button
Now quickly click in and release the seatbelt 9 times
You should here a sound from the dashboard
press the start button again to turn of the contact (no foot on the break)
Start the engine like you normally do and drive away.
The red light on the dash stays on if you are not wearing the seatbelt but the irritating noise no longer sounds.

I have asked this because I'm driving often arround in the fields (private land) with my trailer and getting out and in the car alot.

First check local law if it is OK to drive around without the sound in your country

Greetings

Tom

RE: Seatbelt sound disable do-it-yourself

This is discussed in another thread about how to cancel the seatbelt warning

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.
