DVD based navigation system

Hello, new member alert !
Got a 5 door Dynamic in Orkney ,petrol, arriving late Sept
Just wondered if the "DVD-based navigation system" would allow you to play standard DVDs on the screen in the absence of the full TV set up option :

As far s I know it is a HDD nav system, as on RRS and RR.

Usually the Nav is totally seperate in Land Rovers, so you can use the A/V and navigate at the same time. If you navigate to the online handbooks you should be able to find out
