I'd still say go tech pack even if you're not concerned about value. The base meridian is very good.

Best to go listen to both at a dealer. I've had cars with both base and upgraded audio and I wouldn't pay the upgrade price.

Tech pack. Standard meridian is very very good. You won't feel short changed. It's better IMHO than the Bose upgrade on my Audi A1 and just as good as the harmon kordon system in my D4

+1 tech pack.
I am a bit of an audio enthusiast and spend more than is sensible on equipment and have to say the standard Meridian is great. The upgrade is better but IMHO not worth the extra and I could afford it, having tested both back to back I stuck with the standard fit option.

5 door Dynamic SD4, Orkney Grey, 20" shadow alloys, contast and pano roof, tints and 40 plus grand lighter!

Help please with options

Has anyone fitted an after market sub to the standard system yet?

Where the upgraded 825W system wins is the support for surround sound if you watch DVD's, as well as the increased number of speakers for better clarity and range. But the Standard system blows away my Bose system of similar power in the Mazda too.

More useful than the satnav in the tech pack is the heated front windscreen, which (unless they've changed it for MY13 models) you can't otherwise get in the Pure. The satnav is easily beaten by any number of phone apps but not having to scrape a windscreen is fantastic.
