Folding Rear Headrests

Has anyone modified the rear headrests so they fold forward when not in use, to improve rear window visibility?

So far, the best solution I have come up with is to extend the length of the stems an inch, so they are held up because the curving roof-liner presses against the back of the headrests.

RE: Folding Rear Headrests

The Dynamic's head rear restraints slide down far enough to be almost flush with the seat back when not in use

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

RE: Folding Rear Headrests

It's actually a North America vs ROW thing, not Dynamic this or that - NA gets the same 'full' headrest front and rear while ROW gets a 'slimline' rear headrest.

RE: Folding Rear Headrests

Nightmare......Is it not enough to have "pillar box" visibility out of the rear window without then making it worse by having to have the full rear headrests! Perhaps you could import a set of the flush ones?

RE: Folding Rear Headrests

Would there be any reason why you couldn't replace you USA pattern restraints with a set of Euro style? You must be able to remove these monsters to lower the rear seats.

Potentially a great thread, but the images on the 2 euro style seats/headrests have dropped Sad
Do you still have them?

Ordered: Fuji Dynamic Lux Coupe / style 7 wheels / Privacy glass / adaptive xenons / something else which I've forgotton.
Should be end of April (was March, then April, then end of May/June).

Headrest Style versus Rear Visibility

North America Style Rear Headrests (except dynamic and coupe models which have slimline headrests)

Rest of World Style Rear Headrests

Can somebody mention this to PhilSkill who is currently re-compiling The List?

RE: Folding Rear Headrests

Doubt it can be changed as it is most likely needed to meet a US safety regulation.
