Evoque 2012 door adjustment

Hello

How can i adjust the door of driver in a LR Evoque? The problem is, that the driver door don't close easy. I must close them with a great hit. The other mistake is, that when i driver over 60mph, that i hear the wind from outside?

Do you have a manual, to adjust the doors?

Best regards
Mike

Welcome to the forum Mike.
1st Check that the torx bolts holding the hinge plate into the door frame hasn't loosened causing the door to drop slightly and also check the striker plate on the B pillar isn't loose. The wind noise is caused by the door not sitting on the seals properly and there is a small gap somewhere, probably because of the door dropping on the hinge/hinges.
You might even have to book the car into a dealers service bay to get it looked at. IIRC there have been previous posts about this issue. Can you tell us which model and year? If the car is 2013 or younger then it should still have some warranty left so it shouldn't cost you to fix, just the inconvenience of taking a car to the dealership.

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

Hello

I was by a dealer here in switzerland. The car is 2012, so, the waranty is finished. The dealer don't find a fault, and he can't adjust the door.

Best regards
Mike

Did you have an accident? Or bought it like this? It does sound like the door have been subjected to some serious abuse

You can adjust the pressure required to close the door by undoing the 2 bolts that hold the latch bar to the door pillar. IMPORTANT...undo them just enough to enable you to move the latch bar in or out as required. Move it small amounts at a time (1-2 mm) tighten bolts and test door closure for any wind noise and alignment with rear door. It should close without excessive pressure (no slamming)

It is also possible to adjust the hinge positions but be very careful here and make sure that you understand what you are doing.
