Just to reiterate, the information is provided to us by the selling dealer and/or local vehicle licensing agency. At which point letters are sent out to the registered keeper of the vehicles that fall within the VIN range.
However if you find that your vehicle does fall within the VIN range and are aware of this, I would advise you contact your local dealership to arrange a convenient booking to have the recall carried out.
