Damn I just got back from taking the car out, and forgot to check what tires it comes with. I'll reply back when I get a chance to check.

RE: New here!! Finally got an Evoque :)

I understand that the tyre didn't perform well in snow, but were you also using the GGS mode of the Terrain Response? As soon as I disabled the Grass, Gravel and Snow setting (Sand setting works even better in snow according to some but I have never tried it) yes the car was slipping and sliding all over the place on OEM 20" Continentals.
Where I am we are not guaranteed heavy snow fall every winter, I also haven't had my current Evoque long enough to see if it performs any better on the Michelin tyres in any depth of snow. The Michelin tyres on it have a far less sporty tread pattern and lots more sips for getting water/ slush out.

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.
