Try living in Ireland - can still drive on a provisional licence unattended, test passes were given out about 15 yrs ago - anyone on the waiting list got a pass, to clear the backlog and apparently the outside lane of the motorway is for staying in irrespective of speed or the queue behind oh and indicators are optional everywhere - AAAAAAAAAAAGH!!

RE: Another little nicety found

I drove from Galway to Dublin a few years ago and it was quite an experience - it wasn't the drivers hogging the outside lane that caused problems, it was the pony and trap trotting along in the outside lane that was a hold-up, I thought that sort of thing only happened in really third world countries not European countries!

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.
